Cyclist Friendly Cafes – Bloomfields, Shrivenham

If you’re heading into the Vale of the White Horse or the western fringes of The Ridgeway, then factor in a stop at Bloomfields Fine Foods in Shrivenham. Boasting locally sourced produce, this popular community cafe is a regular stopping off point on OCC midweek rides, with plenty of cakes and pastries on offer, great coffee and secure storage of bikes in the rear garden.

Situated centrally on the High Street, this award-winning delicatessen is just a shade under 25 miles from Oxford, so the perfect fuelling stop before a ‘fast back from Shrivenham’. The staff are always very accommodating and friendly and though there is plenty of seating inside, the garden is a lovely contained space to while away a half hour in the sun. If all this is not enough to entice you back, then the delicious array of food on offer, from sausage rolls to savoury quiches and salads, certainly will.

Bloomfields has another deli located in the market town of Highworth, a short ride roughly north of Shrivenham and also a Deli/Café in Shrivenham Business Park.
