OCC Saturday Club Ride and Social Ride

Saturday 30th September

Two rides on offer today: the usual club ride and also a slower paced, shorter social ride.

The OCC Club Ride starts promptly at 9am from outside Ubyk on the Abingdon Road. The route length is likely to be somewhere between 60 to 70 miles (95km-113km). There is no cafe stop.

The Social Ride will also start at 9am from Ubyk and the route will be around 40-45 miles and include a cafe stop at roughly the halfway point. It is aimed at cyclists who want a more sedate pace and less mileage and those who are new to group cycling and/or riding with a club. It’s a great opportunity to meet some of the members of OCC and learn more about the club.

Full details of both rides, including the names of ride leaders and route will be published no later than the Friday afternoon prior to the ride, allowing time to check out the details and, if you have a computer, download the route.

If you are joining an OCC for the first time, then we ask that you have a look at our How We Ride page, which lists our calls, signals and how we like to ride as a bunch.

Please also note that the wearing of a helmet is mandatory and we ask anyone joining us to leave their ICE details on arrival and bring clothing necessary for the likely conditions, enough fuel/water to sustain you and ensure your bike is road worthy!
