Saturday 22nd August 2020
Oxford Cycling Club has introduced measures that will offer some semblance of normality to our club rides, allowing OCC members and non-members alike the opportunity to link every Saturday morning, whilst observing government guidelines on social distancing.
This week’s route is a club favourite and takes us out over the Ridgeway, across the M4 to the village of Aldbourne, with a brisk southwesterly to carry us home from Shrivenham. The route can be viewed and downloaded via STRAVA. Non-members are very welcome to join us, especially those who have caught the road cycling bug during lockdown and would like to get a taste of riding with a club. We will pair you up with one of our members, so you can learn a little more about OCC.
The ride will start at 9am from outside Bike Zone (NB: closed on Saturdays until further notice), but you can grab a coffee from the Handlebar Café. Please be prompt!
Our normal club rules apply, so please note that the wearing of a helmet is mandatory and we ask anyone joining us for the first time to provide their ICE details and wear/bring clothing necessary for the likely conditions, inner tubes and please ensure your bike is road worthy!
