Saturday 3 April 2021
Yes, we can ride in a group once again, but we will be keeping the OCC pelotons small and prefectly formed – ideally no more than six. The current directive from British Cycling allows for up to 15 to ride together, which allows for some flexibility, but if you are a non-member and wish to join us for a ride, then PLEASE contact us in advance so that we can be certain we can accommodate you.
We have two routes on offer this week, a MEDIUM pace ride and a slightly longer route for the MEDIUM-FAST and FAST groups. Ride leaders will be Andrew Saunders-Davies, Dave Nash and Andrew Webb respectively, so please ensure on arrival that you congregate with your allotted group. The ride will start promptly at 9am from outside Bike Zone and you can grab a coffee from the Handlebar Café.
Please note that we don’t stop at a cafe on our rides, preferring to rendezvous back in Oxford for some post-ride refreshment and chit-chat, so bring enough fuel and water to sustain you. The wearing of a helmet is mandatory and we ask anyone joining us for the first time to provide their ICE details and wear/bring clothing necessary for the likely conditions, plus inner tubes and please ensure your bike is road worthy!
