Chadlington is a quintessential Cotswold village community, nestled above the Evenlode Valley with Chipping Norton to the north and Charlbury and the Wychwood Forest to the south.
Café de la Post is the village hub – a café and grocery store by day, restaurant, chippy and pizzeria on selected evenings. It’s become a popular stop for cyclists and cycling clubs thanks to the barista made coffee, cafitieres and a great array of cakes, including the ‘World’s Best Carrot Cake’. There is also a good menu of hot, cooked food, from sausage rolls and pasties to something a little more substantial.
An leisurely stop OCC at Café de la Post during one of our Summer social rides
OCC club rides often pass through Chadlington during loops into the Cotswolds and members regularly stop at the café during midweek rides. It’s highly recommended if you are heading northwest out of Oxford and as you sit and enjoy your espresso, you might even catch a glimpse of local residents, David and Samantha Cameron, who are regular visitors.
